Subject: | My opinion about Pure Basic |
Hello,
About PureBasic... well, it could be good, but now, I will not spend a penny
for it... why?
-Improper guide.
Where is explained the PRINT (and related) commands? it is in the examples
of other commands, but not himslef...
-INPUT missed?
Sure, it has to have it, but no reference for such a command anywhere...
-Can ASM be included?
If so, where is explained?
-How to access OS routines?
If there is a way, we could start using some non purebasic implemented
routines, or external libraries, but no luck also here... Try to reserve
some memory? You can not.
-External Editor
It is in the way, but nobody will pay for a "future" feature, and not such
much money. They must begin asking money when the product is finished, not
before. Will I pay and later, the programmer go to PC world and forgive me?
Although Blitz is no more, at least it is "finished" :-)
+Good Things: PPC support
As soon as I get something as Mildred implemented for PuerBasic, I will
pay; PPC is great!
+System compliant
I do not need direct hardware access. Of course, it is good, but to do it,
you can use Blitz, even best, AmosPRO :-)
Kind regards
